Black Soap Can Be An All Natural Insecticide

  As an all-natural product, black soap is inherently organic and non-toxic. It is the best possible product to use in your garden and because it has anti-bacterial and natural insecticide qualities, it is the most natural way to fight bacteria and insects that can threaten your plants. These antiseptic properties are effective in combating aphids, Mealybugs, red spiders, Whiteflies, Psyllids, and other thrips. In addition to using black soap as an all natural insecticide, don’t forget that it’s also perfect for cleaning garden tools, pathways, and almost anything else you can think of!

To use black soap as an insecticide:

Dilute 2 tablespoons of soft black soap paste in 1 quart of warm water. Once the solution is cool, spray the affected plants, taking special care to spray the underside of the leaves. Renew the process once or twice if necessary. If some of the solution remains after treatment, pour it onto a pesky anthill! As with most other types of treatments, do not spray in full sunshine during the day (nor in the rain!). Treatment is best either in the early morning or late afternoon.
